First School Trip

It's amazing how Time will fly, honestly I can't believe it... Lauren is really growing up. I remember when I found out I was pregnant with her. I remember when I was in Labor with her. Heck I will not forget when we brought her home and every since then she has been my wonderful little Punky Brewster, my little Linga Roo. Today was the first time Lauren went on a field trip with her school.

She was soo excited about going she literally got up at 6:00 am in the morning. on. her. own. This morning I had got up in a hurry because I knew I had to get her Red shirt that her teacher requested for every parent to get. I don't know about anyone eles but I am NOT going to buy a brand new shirt every time the school has something at that school so I decided to just get something from the closet and Bam. NO  red shirt.. how in the heck with ALL those clothes here that there is not one red shirt. so I improvised and  looked eagle eyed with me turning every basket around in hopes of finding a shirt any shirt other then me in the end dropping her off to the school and running fast to target to get a shirt for a whole 30 bucks.( it would be my luck to find the LAST shirt I really need and pay more then what it is really worth.) when I head a sound.

"Mommy today is field trip day" "yes babe go back to sleep. I don't want to be tired and fall asleep on the field trip." That did it. her head immediately hit the bed. now back to work on this shirt. luck would have it for me (Thank God!) that in the garage Emilio would have a old red shirt!!!! and it fit AMAZINGLY :) I just had to hand wash it and thank god for dryers and then off we went.  She look so cute in her Brother's shirt and it really fits her.

I felt really good about myself. Everyone was dressed and before 7:20 am ...kinda a big deal when you really thought you were going to hear a streak from a 5 yr. old about not having the RIGHT kinda shirt.(stressed face just thinking about it)  I had a red flower dress but I know she would just go crazy...So needless to say I SCORED! Once I dropped the kids off I ran to the grocery store and got a lunch about and was out! Walking in the Kids school felt so much calmer for me. maybe because Lauren is My last unicorn. The look she gave me was like a was a MVP in the most Important game and I didn't let her down. I didn't Mess it up. I was the Champ of ALL mothers for the day. Not going to lie. It.felt.Good. I give her the lunchable and waited outside with the other parents by the bus.

When the kids came from their class I tried to get as much pictures I could before I had to go. here a picture below I got through the window and it came out pretty good! after the bus left I went on with the rest of the day taking care of business. I really want to go back to work soon but I really hope I can get a job that will still allow me to get a little bit of this time. Because I absolutely want to experience this feeling again. whether it is a winning game for Frankie or Emilio or a Proud Moment for Beverly and her that you only get ONE time and the only person you want to see is your mom.. Lauren has NO idea now much she has help me center back into the true Me today.  Her Happy moments are my happy moments. After School she was so happy to see me and So I thought you know what ?! who wants ice cream? yup today was a good day.
